- On December 13, 2007 Duke Power submitted a COL application for 2 AP 1000 reactors at William Lee.
- MidAmerican announced plans on December 13 to submit a COLA for a plant in Boise, Idaho in late 2008.
- On December 11, AREVA filed for Design Certification of their Evolutionary Power Reactor (EPR).
- On December 11, Exelon signed a forging order with GE-Hitachi for two ESBWRs.
- On November 29, NRC docketed STP Nuclear Operating Company's COL application for two ABWRs at the South Texas Project site.
- On November 28, Dominion submitted a COL application for one ESBWR at North Anna.
- On November 28, NRC issued an ESP for North Anna (1 ESBWR)
- On November 12, Exelon selected the ESBWR for its planned 2008 COL application in Matagorda or Victoria County, Texas.
- On October 26, Florida Power & Light tentatively selected the AP1000 for its March 2009 COLA at Turkey Point.
